Last week, during a feral bout of much needed get-in-the-car-and-go, I had the presence of mind to make a quick stop by the library and let a book pick me. Armed with that, a pair of Keens and a bottle of water, I headed for the mountains, only stopping to get a really amazing cup of hot cocoa (second best I ever had) on the road.
The book proved to be a powerful companion, and am still savoring it in the back of my mind, still learning from it.
For many reasons.
This is a book about writing, a book about loving, a book about living. A book about being intentional in the midst of a s*** storm that would have sent most of us packing. Laura Munson's voice is super authentic (she actually wrote the book as a journal, a way to save her sanity during a tough summer, and what do you know, it became her first published work - best seller to boot. I love life. )
So here, you go. This is Not the Story You Think it Is... a Season on Unlikely Happiness. I think you will like it.
Oh, and Laura leads writing Retreats, in her home in Montana... just sayin'.
