The Center for Happiness is in Maryn's good hands. My kitty has her nanny arriving tonight, and the Airbnb will be well taken care of. The Happiness Sprinkling Project will keep on Sprinkling, and all is good.
That's a whole lot of moving pieces to dance with, as I get ready to leave my home life for a few weeks. Sometimes, I wonder if I am not making things too complicated. Is the "Simplify" sign in my kitchen a joke? Am I living my talk of living an Essential Life?
Then I remember: the goal is not to have the least amount of things / activities / movement. The goal, as I see it, is to live a life that is rich, that is mostly peaceful and more than anything, a life that experiences AND SHARES joy.
So, I look at that sign, I wipe the kitchen counter, I give my cat a kiss - and I go.
