From my little studio in the jungle, I am currently working on a series of 52 small paintings sharing some of the beautiful humans (I may eventually add a dog or two) who make the small Mexican village where I live so very rich.

Some of the people have been here for decades, actually starting the village.

Some of them, while not having been here for that long are now fully part of the every day tapestry, through their work, their hearts and their smiles.

Really, I could probably make 200 paintings and still forget someone, but a girl has to know when to stop.

Oh - yes, and no faces.
Because
1) I don't know how to paint faces
and
2) Sometimes it is good to leave space for the Essences to speak for themselves.

I am told that it works well.

This collection is in process and I will be adding the paintings as I go, and eventually write about each person. My vision is to be done by early November and then throw a party with each one of them!

The paintings are 25cm by 25 cm and 30cm by 30cm.
