It’s easy to believe that “we’re aligned” when things go well and the road is smooth.
It’s The Bumps that teach us. The Bumps that will - for sure - show up. Again and again and again. Sometimes we will see them coming, there will be signs on the side of the road. Often we won’t. How we navigate The Bumps together is what tells us what we truly have. The Bumps speak to us about the quality of our relationships, our friendships, our work connections. Do we stand on the same side of the road when a tire explodes or do we point the finger, accuse, insult - or abandon each other? Do we look for solutions together or do we become the enemy, only looking for ways to blame and disengage? How do we repair? The Bumps will keep on coming. How - and IF - we repair will tell us the truth about our relationships. How sweet to find ourselves on the other side of a Bump, holding hands and smiling; grateful for what we learned and ready to ride more of this life together, feeling closer and stronger in our ability to change the next tire! How important to find out that what we thought was solid actually dissolves at the first downpour, spilling away in the gutter, suddenly empty of substance... The Bumps are our teachers and wherever they point the light is a Gift we are invited to pay attention to and embrace. May we learn to welcome their invitations to re-orient and eventually become grateful for their teachings. Comments are closed.

"Every time I read your blog I am so profoundly happy I did. The truth you speak is just mindboggling. The real, real voice you have. It makes me almost crazy how much I love your words and your way of telling stories that cut to the quick- and I never have the words to really say how much this all means to me.
Laura - I always read your posts and am touched by your vulnerability , courage and honesty. Thank you for sharing from your heart. It is a rare gift in this world. A gift we humans are in desperate need of. You put out so many heartfelt blog pieces that touch my heart and move me down the right path at the right time. Pure beautiful magic girlie. I love you for this. Thank you for digging in there and finding the gems of wisdom and then just sharing them out as if there's an endless supply ... which with you, there is." Archives
