Essence Cards. Currently unavailable.

Essence is simple. It is … Essential.

Without fail, anytime I have lead my Essence vs Form class, I have been asked to create a tool to help my clients sift through their many possibilities of Essences, in order to find theirs: the Essence that would best serve them for the day, or just for the moment.

I would often suggest that they go home and create their own list, promising that eventually, I would create something for them.

Years later, and I am thrilled to announce that …  there it is:

My Essence Cards Deck!
I am so very happy to offer these to you, and to send them out into the world to do their work.

Q: what is this deck?
A: It is a collection of 48 written Essences, plus a few blank cards for you to add your own words. They are sweet, powerful, easy to use, and will feel really good in your hands. In the back of each card is a reproduction of my original painting titled “You.” The cards live in a simple cotton pouch, for you to carry them around easily.

Q: what do you mean by “Speaking Essence?”
A: “Speaking Essence” is a quick, easy and powerful path to Clarity, Creation, and a strong sense of Satisfaction (which, by the way, are all Essences. See how I sneaked that in there?)

For instance: you think you want a red Corvette (which is a Form), but really, what do you yearn for? Is it Excitement, Adventure, Youthfulness, or maybe Status? These are Essences, and until you know which Essence your heart truly desires, you may go from Form to Form, spending time, energy and money -  and never feeling truly satisfied.

Note: “Speaking Essence” is also a highly effective disappointment antidote, because you will always  – always -  find an Essence that matches what you are desiring.
Q: do I have to have taken your course to use these cards effectively?
A: You do not.
Essence is simple, and even though we may have forgotten it (“Speaking Form” is so much more common), it is our natural way of talking, expressing, and sharing. Once you start, it will become natural to you very quickly. Before you know it, you will be “Speaking Essence” fluently … and teaching others!

Q: how do I use these cards?
A: There are several ways for you to play with these. Here are just two, to get you started:
As you think of more, I would love to hear about them.
1) In the morning – or before any instance that asks you for Clarity, Focus, or Choice, sift through your Essence Cards Deck, and pick the card that feels like the best fit for what is coming your way, the Essence that will best accompany you. The perfect partner.
or
2) Close your eyes, and draw a card, trusting that you will pull just the right one.
As you go through your day, you will notice your Essence, in many different forms.
And of course, you can invite others to do the same.

Another very effective way to use the cards is to pick a few Essences which you would like to infuse in a meeting, or a conversation. You would hen pick the cards and place them in the center of the table.
